Well it's the last newsletter of the year and we are feeling extremely festive here at UK Recruiter HQ, Louise is on the mulled wine and I'm wearing my santa hat and tinsel scarf. No, really. We've bought you the best of the festive cheer from around the web. Have a fabulous holiday period! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from us all!
Doing things slightly differently this week, we do have a second part to this weeks 600 Things but just to keep you on your toes we have listed it in the main articles, 10 things you should consider when choosing you CRM, also written by Louise.
Louise has written a few articles about CRMs recently, including Why is the CRM Market so Difficult to Navigate? and a review of the yu:talent product. It's made her think about how tricky it is for a recruiter to successfully navigate the process of looking for a new CRM. So, in her usual generous way she has come up with 10 things to consider when choosing a CRM.
As 2013 draws to a close, Hiring Hub take a look back at how the UK’s employment sector fared over the year, exploring the facts and figures that make up the sector. The infographic then looks forward to 2014 and predictions for growth. As well as some useful hints on the sectors expected to grow next year.
"So…the end is near…. and now we’ve reached the final curtain…for 2013 anyway. And, as seems customary around this time of the year, the blogosphere will be full of reviews of the year just gone and predictions about the next."
In case you couldn't tell from the festive adornments in this week's newsletter, Christmas is nearly here and our minds (and hopefully bodies!) will be somewhere other than work for a little bit at least. Social Media Today shares some tips to keep your social media campaign going throught the holiday period.
Just for fun really and mainly because I am winding down in the run towards Christmas, have a look at this infographic and reminisce with us over the 50 of the things we don’t do (or maybe have never done) thanks to technology.
Although, I have to say, I actually did just use a dictionary (which I keep on my desk) to find out how to spell 'reminisce'.
