This week, we are launching our 7th Annual Recruitment Blog of the Year awards to recognise individuals and firms who blog around the subject of the recruitment industry in/from the UK, sponsored by Boomerang Funding and CV-Library. You can nominate a blog you love or your own site. Nominations close on 30th November. Then it’s to the judging. Details of the winning blogs will be published by mid December. Last week saw our extremely successful Recruitment Conference take place. There were 14 sessions, covering all manner of recruitment related learning. We had nearly 150 attendees and it was standing room only for some of the sessions! If you didn't manage to make it to the event the team at BlueSky PR went to every session, took studious notes, and will be sharing them on Louise's Blog over the coming weeks. Stats - Recruitment Trends Analysis for October 2013
The recruitment market remains on a high with another monthly increase in both Permanent and Temporary vacancies in October.

Looking closer at the top performing sectors - Utilities for the permanent jobs sector and Logistics, Distribution & Supply Chain for the temporary jobs market, had the strongest quarterly growth.

However, we did see a fall in applications per vacancy by 2.6%
